A successful man is one who can lay a firm foundation with the bricks that others throw at him.
All of us from time to time in our lives had the feelings, “why am I working myself to death?” Another question comes to mind, “Are we working hard in our business or is our business working hard for us?”
As the man above gathers all the bricks thrown at him from others, he stops and examines his bricks. Some bricks are like new. Other bricks are mismatches, while some bricks crumble in his hands. But none of this matters to him on the shape of his acquired inventory of bricks. He has a plan.
Steadily day after day, month after month and maybe year after year the man finally built himself a house with the old discarded bricks tossed a him by his taunting neighbors. Then the people started to see, this old man was building himself the largest and most beautiful house for many miles around.
One day the old man had an “Open House” to share his home that he built all by himself over several years with all the bricks that others tossed at him. As the huge crowd gathered at the “Open House” many people stood outside enjoying the food, drinks and other friends.
Suddenly the loudest, most boisterous successful man in the area became silent. Quietly, he nudged another powerful business man that stood next to him. Then both of these powerful, mighty business men realized, this old man built himself a mansion all by himself, debt free with those bricks they tossed at this old man.
Who is the fool now, they realized. Most everything and most everyone has chances in life. But how do we react with these chances in life will help us develop into the person we are today. Isn't that true with business adventures also?
