Have A Disney World Vacation For A Fraction Of What Others Pay

This place can be overwhelming. First up you really need to get an appreciation for the sheer size of this place - 12,000 car parking spaces gives some indication, the distances between the various parks gives another. This is NOT one theme park it is at least half a dozen - and I think when planning time here you ought to take that into consideration. Before arriving we had no Idea about the enormous dimensions so we purchased a one day park hopper and were squeezed the entire time to fit in the multitude of activities. Now I understand why people stay in park hotels and resorts and spend 5-7 days here. It may sound over the top - but That's what it is - the entire complex IS over the top massive, hundreds possibly thousands of things to do. If you, like we did, only have a day, my tip is workout which park or 2 best suit you, if small children then Magic Kingdom is your day possibly with Animal Kingdom as well. If older children or you are science minded definitely Epcot (this was our favourite). Whilst free multiple transport is provided between parks it can take time getting between them so it is more efficient to focus in one park/kingdom or 2 at most in any one day. Unless there is ONE ride at another park eg haunted house in magic kingdom you want to zip in and do. Also remember at peak times queues can be extensive, I heard some people wait up to 3 hours for new or key rides! Naturally it is a wonderful fun escape for all - but can be tedious for parents re: queues, wait times, access to decent food etc. And remember Disney parades are a must see as it is where the true Disney magic comes together and the spectacle is to be remembered.
