You are powerful.

Creating and manifesting the life of your dreams is your choice.

You broadcast your own estimation of your value to yourself, your family and the world around you, loud and clear, with every word you speak and every move you make.

Most people out there, especially those who are meeting you for the first time, are going to take your word for it if you think highly of yourself (or not).

Unfortunately, being told to keep liking ourselves, no matter what, hasn't done a whole lot get us back on our feet when we hit a big ole' bump in the road. Even when heavy stuff happens (as, in life, it will), through no fault of our own, due to age, illness or other inevitabilities, we tend to blame and criticize ourselves--and this is how we keep the damage going, by holding ourselves back from healing and moving on.

>>Learn more about the physiology of self-esteem:

The interfaces you use to deal with your external environment are your own thoughts, feelings, and actions or behaviors.

Are your thoughts, feelings and behaviors helping or harming you?

The (Dys) Functions of Emotions: What Emotions Do (or Don't Do) For You.

Feelings. Whether you find them, in general, to be friendly or frightening, they evolved within our brains for biologically valid reasons, and understanding their functions can help you to manage them. Managing your emotions appropriately (or not) can be a huge factor in your success, or lack thereof, in today's culture,

So be sure to check the facts before you go with your gut:
