During the weekend, my friend and I met up in one of the good restaurant here in town. We were able to talk a lot of memories in our lives until I recognized that her bag, earrings, bracelet, watch and skirt are all color green even her shoes there were shades of green. I didn’t ask why she was in that get up because obviously and I think that was her favorite color. I just ask her why she love the color, Green, and she answered me briefly saying…
“Green symbolizes nature, and nature is Beautiful and so do I…”
I have nothing against with her answer and I just smile, we laugh actually. How can nature makes us beautiful? Or shall I say, How can nature help us to be beautiful?
This morning Im checking on the web looking for natural products that is good for skin. I saw an article about fruits, specifically, AVOCADO.
Avocados are Mother Nature's skin moisturizer. With their healthy fats and phytonutrients, they offer remarkable benefits to human skin -- both when eaten and when used topically.
For an excellent skin complexion, rub one or more of the following items against the skin two to four times a week: papaya pulp, avocado, cucumber, spirulina, fresh noni fruit and/or aloe vera. For dry skin, rub hempseed oil, jojoba oil and MSM lotion directly into the skin. This will alleviate dryness quickly. Or use avocado on the skin directly. Avocado oil is similar to our skin's oil. ~ The Sunfood Diet Success System by David Wolfe
Treat yourself to an avocado facial. Beauty, they say, is only skin deep. Luckily, avocado has moisturizing power to help make your skin more beautiful. For years, people have used avocado as a natural facial treatment, especially for dry skin. It's easy to do in your own home. Just remove your makeup and wash your face with warm water and soap or your favorite cleanser. Mash some avocado and mix it with a little milk or oatmeal and apply it to your face. Leave it there for 10 minutes, then rinse it off with lots of water. ~ Eat and Heal (Foods That Can Prevent or Cure Many Common Ailments) by the Editors of FC&A Medical Publishing
Benefits of Avocado
Avocados offer a generous supply of healthy fats, vitamin A, alpha-carotene, beta-carotene, and vitamin E.
The tremendous benefit of adding fresh avocado to your smoothie is that it makes many of the nutrients in the other foods you eat much more easily absorbed. Vitamin A, vitamin D, vitamin E, vitamin K, alpha-carotene, beta-carotene, lutein, lycopene, astraxanthin, zeaxanthin, and calcium are all 50 to 1000 per cent better absorbed in the presence of fats from avocado. It is not necessary to use a lot of avocado to enhance absorption of fat-soluble nutrients. As little as 1 teaspoon of avocado is enough. Avocados are high in fat, but they also deliver a day's supply of magnesium, and half a day's supply of fiber!
Tips on How to Make Avocado Smoothies
The avocado smoothies that are very popular in Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Indonesia are made with sweetened condensed milk. You can make a dairy-free version with almond, coconut, or rice milk. For a traditional Mexican avocado smoothie, sweeten with agave nectar.
Use a half to one whole fresh avocado for every two cups of milk or milk substitute to make an avocado smoothie. For flavored smoothies, use half of the avocado for every two cups of milk or milk substitute with peaches, persimmons, mangos, pineapple, or other tropical fruits.
