Don't Be A Follower

It's funny. I tell my daughter not to be a follower, yet I hear people in the network marketing industry say people follow people not products or companies. I believe you should trust your gut (use your brain) and do your research before you join any opportunity. I have followed people in the past that I built relationships with believing in their enthusiasm for the opportunity they shared with me. In some instances they left the business to move onto something else because they thought something else would be more profitable. They were not bad people. In fact they are just like you and me. We are in search of a business that we can join and make a long lasting, life changing income from by sharing the opportunity or products with others. Most people follow people because they are either looking to learn from them or for them to do the work for you. It's your business and it takes work to make money period. Make the best decision for you. I believe you should make sure the business is legitimate, the products are real, and the company has the ability to pay it's business partners. Remember when you were a child and your mother said if so and so told you to jump off of a bridge, would you jump? It's Ok to follow sometimes, but do your homework (research) before you jump. A real business would have a platform or products that are appealing to others. In a sense the product should just about sell itself. Let's be real, when you go to buy a car, you buy the car because you like it so it was appealing in some way. You didn't really buy it because of the salesman (did you?). I may not be as successful as some marketers, but I believe in being honest and ethical. There are people who will fast talk you into a Pacer or Yugo when you are looking for a Mercedes. Beware my friends and treat others as you would like to be treated. Make the community respectable. People hear MLM or Networking marketing and say no I am not interested. That is usually because they have been or knows someone who has been scammed (or felt they were scammed). I personally look for companies that will most likely be around in the next 5 years. I have been fortunate enough to meet some honest and hard working Marketers. Just remember to pick a business or product that you can be passionate about. Don't just be a follower. I know many will probably disagree with me. I wish you all Much Success!!
