We recently ran a large energy procurement event for a college in PA (PECO) in which they opted for a 24 month contract with 100% green energy.
In this particular auction we ran auctions for:
• 12,24,36 month firm fixed pricing Fossil Fuel Generation
• 12,24,36 month firm fixed pricing with 50% Green Power
• 12,24,36 month firm fixed pricing with 100% Green Power
The college signed a 24 month contract for 100% green power with only an 8K annual premium (previously paid over 12K in rec’s) and still achieved a 4.9% in savings resulting in over 40K in annual savings and over 80K in savings for the term of the contract. (10%-20% Green Power can be purchased for very little to no premium) Our auction platform is the most efficient and effective mechanism for creating a hyper-competitive environment forcing suppliers to significantly shave margin.
