When was the last time you dined at a restaurant that blew you away with the ambiance, the food, and the excellent service? Did you tell someone about it? Did you get paid for it?
Network marketers tell others about their positive experience in their respective businesses. And get paid for it. Joining a social media site is nothing new for marketers, and as a result they are all over the place. To say the only reason you network is to get new business partners immediately is short sighted. Building relationships would be a more worthwhile goal.
If someone says they are looking for a company to purchase identity theft protection I know who to refer them to. I'm not in that business but I know someone who is. I am not into refurbished laptops but I know someone who is.
How about blogs that share marketing tips, post that share motivating quotes, and offers for free marketing tools. These are all available because of the power of networking. You can blast your opportunity all over the place and may get a few sign ups. If you are looking for the serious heavy hitters you won't get a nibble that way. Personally I prefer five to six power brokers as opposed to a hundred fence sitters.
In conclusion networking is powerful, use it to connect with other leaders and learn some elevated marketing strategies.
