Everyday a new MLM or affiliate program is born. Thousands join these everyday without giving thought as to whether said company is in compliance or not. Before joining a company the first thing you should do is make sure that company is in compliance.
Here are a few reasons why. Alignment with Local, State & Federal Laws. It gives confidence in recruiting and training. Insurance of Fair Business Opportunity. Safeguarding Positive Company Reputation. And what I feel is the most important. Longevity of the Company.
What are some of the common mistakes many make some unknowingly? Ever see or make a guarantee on earnings? That's a BIG NO NO. No business can guarantee earnings. Did you realize Income claims were Illegal? Many do not, you can see them all over advertising sites and social media sites. These are against Federal Laws. Displaying checks is looked at as enticement and is also against the law. Law enforcement officials will come after the affiliate as well as the company.
If you are in a home based business or seeking one make sure you check to see if they have legal representation and that they have a compliance agreement. I spent 30 years with a major telecommunications company and every year we had to have a compliance review. MLM is no different they must follow the legal system also.
