The Changing Face Of Voluntary Employee Benefit Offerings

“Your employees come first. And if you treat your employees right, guess what? Your customers come back, and that makes your shareholders happy. Start with employees and the rest follows from that.” Herb Kelleher

There are many ways to reward great workers who are loyal to a company’s overall mission and cause. One of the best ways to prospect and maintain the best employees for your company may lie in the voluntary benefits you offer them. For years, companies have offered various employee benefit programs ranging from discount insurance to stock options and 401k plans. Employees aren’t just looking for top-paying jobs and income security; they’re looking for other affordable ways to strengthen their family’s financial means. Voluntary benefits can range from concierge, pet sitting, legal, identity theft, and tele-health services and more and is an awesome addition to any insurance product or benefits program in the marketplace today.

Today, companies across North America are adding these and many other services to their company’s employee benefits portfolio because of the low cost and ease of implementation. Most programs are offered at NO OUT-OF-POCKET COSTS to the company and studies have shown that most workers don’t mind picking up the tab because these low cost benefits range from $10 to $50 a month per household and available through payroll deductionIn 2016, corporate investment in voluntary employee benefits offerings will only continue to grow as companies are looking for more creative ways to keep the best workers on their payroll.

While insurance products are designed with the client in mind, it doesn’t do much for the company in terms of reducing expenses and saving lost revenue. Voluntary benefits like legal services, ID theft protection (identity restoration), and tele-health plans are designed to help businesses improve their bottom line by keeping workers focused on their jobs and not on their legal and heath issues as well as identity theft, especially during work hours. If you would like to learn about these great ancillary services and how it can help you improve your company's bottom line and save money, please watch the 25-minute video below.
