I find the prejudice against MLM's interesting, and I guess the real problem is ignorance. I have several friends and family members that won't switch energy companies to help me out because they think this is a "pyramid scheme". Yet they purchase Avon, Mary Kay, Tupperware, Pampered Chef and other products. Interestingly enough, they don't seem to understand that these are all also MLM companies...Multi-Level Marketing...they are not different than the company I work with.
Now these are all great products and I purchase some of them myself from friends and relatives who are involved with those companies - sometimes because I like the product, sometimes just to help them out. However, when it comes to being in business with these companies, here is what I have against them - they are products. That means that in order to make money either you have to sell something yourself, or your down line has to sell something. If the economy is bad and the product is not selling - no one is making money!
With my company, this is a one shot deal. You help 20 people save money (you never need more than 20 customers) and once they switch to the service and start saving - your done! Then you help others who become your business partner get their 20 customers and then they are done. Those 20 customers pay an electric bill month after month after month! When you can offer them savings and even the opportunity to earn free energy and HELP them SAVE money, instead of spending money on something they don't need - the STAY your customers! Like I said, your done! You don't have to keep reselling to them, you don't need to keep inventory or purchase a certain amount every month, you don't need to collect money and hope checks don't bounce!
Someone needs to sell those other great products - but me, I don't do sales! But my business is still not much different from any of the others, except it's easier. It's recession proof! Is yours?
