Facebook for business marketing is not a new concept. There is a lot of different tips and strategies you need to know in order to become successful at it.

There is a difference in how you use the worlds largest social media networking site for personal reasons and how you use it for business marketing.

This article contains a lot of helpful tips and strategies for using Facebook for business marketing, but when implementing these strategies it is good to remember that people normally log into Facebook to see what their friends are up to, not to look at advertisements.

#1.Your Personal Friends List
Facebook for business marketing differs from how you would use Facebook for personal reasons, because you would normally not market anything to your friends. The marketing happens outside your personal friends list.

You should not totally forget about your personal friends list, this is the "warmest market" you have when starting your online business.

The important thing is to avoid the situation where your friends think you are constantly trying to sell them something. No one really likes that.

When you are learning how to use Facebook for business marketing your friends list will grow because you get new business contacts when you network with other people. Social networking and business networking has a lot of overlap.

You should be careful about accepting friends requests from customers you don´t know. A much better option would be to interact with them on your own page.

There is a limit for how many friends you can accept to your list. Keep your list open only to people you actually know and those who can help you grow your business.

#2.Your Own Facebook Page
Your own page is the central component when it comes to Facebook for business marketing. You want the majority of website traffic come to this page, even if you are using paid advertising methods.

The goal is to get as many "likes" to your own Facebook page as you possibly can. This way you can take advantage of the viral potential your social media marketing campaign can give you.

Your own Facebook page will be the #1 spot that other Facebook users will learn more about your business opportunity or products.

How to make money on Facebook sharing free content

Your own Facebook page should be the place where you and your prospects can interact with each other, a place where they get more information and have the opportunity to sign up for your newsletter.

Facebook for business marketing has a lot of potential. When you are interacting with people directly, they are far more loyal than if you would contant them using email.

In order to generate more signups for your newsletter and more sales, you should definitely interact with people through your Facebook page as much as possible.

#3.Use Paid Advertising Too
Besides using free advertising methods to promote your Facebook page, you should invest in paid advertising as well. You will need an advertising budget when it comes using Facebook for business marketing successfully.

Paid advertising allows you get almost instant results through highly targeted traffic which generates
signups and sales.

One of the best paid advertising methods to promote your Facebook page is "Pay-Per-Click" advertising. The most well known PPC advertising service is Google Adwords.

With PPC advertising, you will only pay when someone clicks on your ad. You will not pay anything when the ad is just displayed.

Instead of Google Adwords, you can also do PPC advertising on Facebook directly. Facebook has their own PPC advertising service. Naturally, the less you can spend on advertising the more profitable business you will have.

If you choose to advertise on Facebook, why not place your initial pay-per-click bids at only 50% of what Facebook´s recommended minimum bid is.

This is your first PPC campaign, it just makes sense to see how the advertising works and what results it generates before you spend any more money on it.

Facebook for business marketing is really effective, there is naturally a learning curve but it is possible to build a big business using it.
