My name is Betty Lyons and I am a retired Registered Nurse. I have been an asthmatic all my life. Once puffers were introduced I needed to carry a puffer with me at all times. However, when I was a young woman I did take up smoking for 15 yrs. and quit for good in my 40’s. In the summer of 1993 I was diagnosed with COPD following 9 days in an ICU on life support because of a massive chest infection. For the next 4 years I was in and out of hospital because of my COPD and chest infections. I was on steroids, antibiotics and several puffers. My life was severely compromised with severe shortness of breath, low energy ,poor sleep and lived in constant fear that I would stop breathing. In Oct. 1997 I discovered Immunocal and soon realized that this product was discovered at McGill and at that time had over 15 yrs of research and a Canadian Government recognized “Method of Use Patent” for the Immune System. I began at one pkg a day and quickly increased my dosage to 4 PKG/day. I have never nor will I ever stop taking Immunocal because for the past 13 and ½ yrs I live a full active life with no obvious symptoms of COPD. I have no symptoms of asthma. I sleep well, have lots of energy, visit my Dr. once a year for my physical and my only medication that I take for COPD is 1 puff of my Advair at bedtime. I have found that if I don’t take the Advair once a day I will experience heaviness in my chest in 2-3 days. I know that if it weren’t for Immunocal I would require assistance in living by now and be on oxygen plus many drugs to stay alive. This product has been a life saver for me.
Because I feel and look so well I started talking about this product and unintentionally at first I started a business. Currently, because of my Immunotec business and my monthly check I am able to supplement my retirement income and live independently and in my own home. I am truly thankful the path Immunotec has taken me on and my goal now is to help others enjoy their lives more in any way that I can.
