Many people have been raised on the following principles:
"Go to school, get a degree, get a good paying job, and save money."
That used to be good advice, but many things have changed since then. I have read and studied Robert Kiyosaki's book series, "Rich Dad, Poor Dad." In the book series, Robert talks about the breakdown of the US monetary system and why our "cash" is no longer "money".
Robert continues by asking, "Why would a person want to save something that is constantly going down in value?" Think about the prices of goods and services - they continue to rise, but our income does not increase at the same rate. That means we are going broke safely! This year alone, gas prices are up 10%, but insurance, food, medical costs, taxes, and entertainment costs also continue to rise. Have you received any raises to compensate for those increases?
Unfortuntaley, the answer for most of us is "No!" Because of this, we are "going broke safel"y by working at our "jobs". We have to make a change in order to get ahead and Robert Kiyosaki talks about business or investing as the way to make a shift to true financial independence.
How does a person get out the "rat race" and the routine that is trapping them into financial struggle? The answer starts with changing their thinking! When you change your thinking, you open the doors to changing your financial freedom.
Does it make sense to "go broke safely" or does it make sense to make changes? If you are driving your car down the street and see a bend in the road, would you keep driving your car straight off the cliff? Of course not, you would turn the wheel and keep going towards your destination.
Will you drive your "financial car" off the cliff or will you make changes and steer your financial future towards success? If you or someone you know is interested in making some financial changes, please have them visit www.cashanddreams.com
