Being a Better Leader is Something We All Should Strive For!

Having the ability to lead is not something we are born with. Although it can be argued that we are born with the power to influence. Take a baby for example. They soon realize that the louder they cry the easier it is to get a diaper hanged or a mouth fed. Those of us that master that ability to influence can become powerful leaders because that in essence is what a leader is: A master influencer. As a church leader I often teach that the man is the head but the woman is the neck. She can turn things around so she is really the one that can influence the visionary. As a leader you have to realize that how powerful you are. Although everyone is not a great leader we all lead in some capacity for the good or the bad. Some of the areas that we can all focus on are. 1. Being a better listener which will help us to identify needs. 2. Being more caring because people don't care how much you know until they know how much you care. 3. Being a master at casting a vision. This is important because although you may "see" you must make sure your people also see so that when things take a little longer than anticipated or if it's a little harder than they thought they will trust the vision that you have cast. Leadership is a virtue that we should all seek. Tweaking the areas that we can and growing in others as we continue to offer to others the best that we have to offer.
