Workout Program Accountability

The Best Ways To Keep Yourself Accountable On Your Workout ProgramDo you find that after you start up on a fresh new diet or workout program, it’s only two weeks in and you’ve fallen off the bandwagon already?


For many people, staying accountable is the hardest part of success. They have the best of intentions when they first start out but then ‘life’ happens and before they know it, they just aren’t on track any longer on that workout program.


So what can you do to stop this? How can you keep yourself more accountable so that this doesn’t happen to you?


Let’s go through a few of the top tips you need to know if you are going to maintain your next diet or workout program.


Set Daily Goals For Your Workout Program


Perhaps the most important part of keeping yourself accountable is setting a daily goal to strive to reach. When you set something that you hope to achieve that day, you’ve now just given yourself a purpose.


If you wake up and know that this day is part of the next 100 to reaching your goal, how much of a difference does it really make if you skip the workout or eat a donut for breakfast? You have 100 daysto reach your goal.


But what if that goal needed to be accomplished today?  Now you have a reason for staying on course.


The great thing about this as well is that each time you reach one of those daily goals, you’ll give yourself a confidence boost that you can stay on track and realize success.


accountability partnerGet An Accountability Partner 


If you want to stay accountable, it only makes sense to get an accountability partner. This is something who you feel completely comfortable around and can trust to share your journey with.


Tell them your goals and when you want to achieve them.  Then, have them check in regularly with you to see how you are doing.   If you know that someone is ‘watching’ you in a sense, it may make you think twice about skipping that cardio workout first thing in the morning or going in for that bowl of ice cream while you watch TV.


Set A Reward 


For some people, rewards are a great way to keep themselves accountable. If you feel like you just don’t have the steam to reach that end goal, find something that gives you steam. 


Think about something that you’ve wanted for quite some time and make a deal with yourself that if you do what you need to do, you will give yourself that reward.


Just make sure that you do only give that reward should you come through with your task.


Make Sure You Enjoy Your Program 


Finally, last but not least, make sure that you enjoy your program.  While this isn’t a technique of accountability, it’s still going to influence your accountability just the same.


If you hate your program, of course you aren’t going to want to stick with it. Remember that there are many ways to go about your fitness journey so make sure that you find a way that works for you.


So don’t let yourself be a fitness dropout any longer. Use these tips and you can successfully maintain fitness as a lifestyle and not just something you do for a short period of time! Learn more @
