FACING OUR FEARS> GOD’S PROMISES

Daily, we are faced with many fears – fear of losing a job; fear of losing our home; fear of losing a loved-one; fear of missing an opportunity; fear of failure and the list goes on….
However; God has given us many promises to calm our fears, strengthen us, give us peace and increase our faith – to name a few, and it would be wise if we understand and apply them to our daily living.
He promises to be our companion - in Hebrews 13:5 – because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you"; and also in Isaiah 54:10 – “For the mountains may depart and the hills disappear, but even then I will remain loyal to you. My covenant of blessing will never be broken," says the LORD.
In 2nd Corinthians 12:9 He said He will strengthen us – “Each time He said, "My gracious favor is all you need. My power works best in your weakness.”
God’s faithful promises continues in Philippians 4:19 - ‘And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from His glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.’
Also, in John 10:27-28 ~ He promises the wonderful gift of eternal life ~ “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: and I give unto them eternal life.”
The more we read and understand God’s Word the more we can apply them to our everyday living and walk boldly in faith.
I personally have been faced with many challenges – the greatest was losing three loved-ones in less than seven months; but been in constant prayer daily reflecting on God’s Promises has helped me tremendously. I learn that, in EVERYTHING, to give thanks!
The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. ~ II Peter 3:9
