Troubles come, and go but we have to be able to deal with them and at times put them in God’s Hand.
“Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in ALL circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” – 1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18.
This may sound crazy, but we all need to have a little problem in our lives once in a while to let us see and know that we ought to be grateful for our challenges.
“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” ~ John 16:33
When experiencing with a terminal illness, feelings of pains and suffering can cause one to wonder and question, where is God in all this? But take heart, our heavenly Father is always with us, and He has never given us more than we can bear….
“No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.” ~ 1 Corinthians 10:13
You may be going through some challenges, but think of others – a friend or even a relative; listen to them when asked ‘how they are’, usually they will reply ‘ I’m fine, or I’m ok’ but are they really ok? If they tell you their true feelings, can you help in any way?
“And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.” ~ 1 Peter 5:10
Keep a daily journal and, for every disappointment, enter two things that you are thankful for; you’ll be amazed to know how appreciative you will become after looking back on entries of those ‘gloomy’ days. Just think of it, it could have been worse.
Nehemiah said, “…………..This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.” ~ Nehemiah 8: 10b
Thanks for visiting!
