There are six keys to a successful future: Focus, Unique, Teamwork, Urgency, Recommit and Enthusiasm; however, without Enthusiasm, the other five keys become practically helpless.

Enthusiasm attracts one to things he or she sets out to achieve; it also enables him or her, to take advantage of opportunities, as they present themselves. Enthusiasm is also the energy, the fuel, the blazing fire that brings about a successful result.

One can develop the power of, or create enthusiasm. First, by showing interest; then, becoming knowledgeable of what he or she is interested in; and with that knowledge, he or she creates belief in its validity and truth.  With belief, one generates strong emotional commitment, which promotes strong enthusiasm.
