Hot flashes with menopause are one of the main symptoms. They are very stressful and exhausting. They can come on suddenly. You have no warning; they can come at any given time. It doesn’t matter what you are doing. You will go into a frantic mod upon experiencing one. They last from a few minutes to several minutes. Hot flashes are known as a hot flush—it is a short sensation of heat that may be accompanied by a red, flushed face and sweating heavily. A woman may even get chills after her body cools down.
