Stress… a big word… right? I am sure you must have heard rather experienced it as well multiple times. In fact, in today’s world right from toddler to grandparents, everyone is stressed. At least that is what they say.

So, let’s see what is stress exactly? In simple words, stress is a multiplication of uncertainty and powerlessness. Confused? Think over it and apply this to your daily life situations… Situations like traffic jams…trains not functioning… unable to reach the office in time for an important meeting… and now you are stressed.

Just ponder over these thoughts… what are all these situations… these are all the cases where you are very uncertain about future events, and at the same time, you are just feeling powerless. Stress is just the incapability of your mind dealing with different situation.

So, now you know what stress is. Let’s see how you can manage it or rather shall I say that: why to manage it. Just reach at a point where stress is not there in your life at all… is it possible? Yes…. definitely possible…. let’s see how….

There is a simple mechanism to handle the stress. Take any situation in your life and divide it into the below mentioned four quadrants:

Quadrant I
Things you know about the situation

Quadrant II
Things you don’t know about the situation.
So, connect with an expert and get the situation under control with their help…This automatically moves things to Quadrant I.

Quadrant III
Things which can be influenced/control about the situation

Quadrant IV
Things which cannot be influenced/control. It vanishes the moments you shift your Quadrant II items to Quadrant I.

This method is called as Anxiety/Stress Balance Sheet. The main objective behind creating this is increasing the happiness and elimination of stress. This helps you to a large extent in managing your situations and giving you the clarity of the same which results in reduction of stress.
