TOP OF THE CLOCK (Part 1)
In order to become successful it is first necessary to develop the right attitude to have an orderly and positive view of life. From this perspective you can harness your life knowledge and life skills to use as the building blocks of great achievement. To do this you must first view your life as if it were a business project so it is essential that you have a means of monitoring your progress. I use what I call 'The Top of The Clock' principle. It works like this :
Imagine that you are looking at the face of a clock. The number twelve is at the top and six is at the bottom. The other numbers are spread around the dial in the normal sequence. For me, the clock face can represent life itself or a part of life or a project or an activity in life, whatever. But, in all instances, twelve is both the starting point and the finishing point. So life, for instance, begins at the top of the clock at twelve and life ends at the top of the clock also at twelve. To the casual observor the beginning and the end of life would seem to be identical, both being at twelve. They might not realise that life had progressed all the way around the perimeter of the clock face before arriving back at the same point. So the perception of this casual observor would be both accurate and mistaken at the same time.
Life does go full circle, we end off where we started, dust to dust, ashes to ashes and all that. However, although we end at the same point as which we started, the journey itself is a different matter. And the journey is represented by the perimeter of the clock face. All the way round, one, two, three and on and on until eleven, and finally twelve.
Take my word for it. I'm not the kind of guy to mess about. Check me out by CLICKING ON the photo below.

I choose to believe that in life the period from twelve to six represents our learning period, The time that, as we progress from birth, we learn all about everything around us in the physical sense. The natural world yes and also man-made things and concepts. This however should be followed by what I call our UN-learning phase. I say 'should be followed' because for many this phase never happens. Sad but true because the unlearning phase for those who can see and grasp it, is the period from six to twelve on the clock face where we come to understand that the vast bulk of the man-made stuff we were fed in the twelve to six phase is substantially misguided and meaningless nonsense in the greater scheme of things. Those of us who do 'get it' will return to our true selves and to life's simple riches – nature, sunshine, love and the joy of living. True wealth.
I live and 'work' in the sunny south of Portugal. Need I say more?
