Yesterday my sponsor and good friend showed me her new advertising tool called about.me. I was so impressed with her page that I decided to try to make one myself. Step number one was to choose a background image, which you can also upload from your computer. Step two was to fill in my biography and upload my picture. Then I played with the text colors and fonts, but mostly left them alone. The next step was to connect with your social media - mine were Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Foursquare, LinkedIn, my website, and You Tube. There was a bit of trouble linking to a few, but I found it easier to link after I had logged into the media sites. Under Settings, was sure to check sharing sites and email.
To get more visitors to your site, there are four ways to do that. You can add the link to your email signature, link the site to your social media, share with your social media sites using the supplied buttons, and you can even order business cards for the cost of shipping only.
I am so thrilled that sites like these are making it easier for people like me who are technically challenged! Give it a try and have fun :-)
