The Challenges Of Working From Home

The Challenges Of Working From Home Well the Challenges are it's not an regular job I had never given much thought to the fact that the personality type we project at work is often quite different to the personality type we project at home. Or the fact that the difference can become a real stumbling block to those who decide to work from home. Different personalities for different roles? Yeah you are working from home your role changes just . because you can make more working at home than working for someone else in order for that to happen you must first chnage your mindset as find something that pay you more than an job can you pay you that you can do and be passionate about But when you work from home, there is no commute, or only a very short one. There is no time period for transition from one personality type to the other. I live alone, so there are no

distractions or expectations of me. I have 2 phones, and my family has one number, while my business contacts have the other. If I am working, and my phone rings, I answer it only if I would normally accept a personal call at work when I am the middle of whatever I am doing.

If my work phone rings at 11pm, or early Sunday morning, I ignore it. But those who share a home cannot always draw the line that clearly. There are a lot more steps you can take, involving pre-set working hours, closed doors, background music

and/or headphones, and so on. Over the next while, I will be exploring these options in much greater detail. Stay tuned for part 2! Emile Watson
