The only thing we're ever taught in life is how to take orders and be an upstanding citizen. How to be a cog in the wheel, able to take orders and fulfill repetitive functions with great efficiency.
But where were the classes about how to be self-sufficient, autonomous and self-motivated? I sure don't remember any and this leaves so many of us in a very tough situation when we finally do start working for ourselves after many years taking orders from our higher-ups.
Suddenly we have to start making tough decisions, managing our time, planning for the future, handling insane amount of infuriating minutiae and at the same time maintain some kind of normal social life and maybe even some hobbies in-between.
Not an easy road to travel.
However, when one has the right attitude about it, it gets a lot easier. The first concept to adopt is that being a successful entrepreneur is a skill. That's right, just like anything else from fishing to the hula hoop, learning to run a successful business is a skill that you learn through your standard, rough-and-tumble, grazed knees trial-and-frequent-error.
The skillset for being a successful entrepreneur encompasses a LOT of different facets. From handling clients to delegating well to planning. These are all things which need to be practiced. And here's where a little strategy comes in. If you've read more than 5 business books you'll likely have noticed that a lot of these authors contradict each other about how to do it well and that if you just follow their method, you'll be a huge success.
This is simply not true.
The fact is that implementing anything that someone else does in exactly the same way is nearly impossible without closely shadowing that person for a year or more. A whole lot of important details are lost in the written word through interpretation and bad information timing.
A far superior goal is to become a scientist. A cold, calculated, inquisitive scientist that takes in information and immediately tests it for yourself to see if it works or not. Once you've done this a few hundred times you begin to develop your own success blueprint. One that is customized and personal to you.
This is the exact reason why success is so hard.
There is no set plan for it. We literally have to forge our own route through testing and this is how it's worked for everyone who got successful at anything.
The reality is, not everything you read is going to work for you. In fact, not even 10% of it will. So by this logic it makes sense that those that test out tons of advice will find the strategies that work tor them the fastest and hence, they will succeed the quickest.
It's just that simple.
The problem happens when people idolize their heroes, romanticize certain philosophies or principles and they don't approach it from a logical perspective. They let emotions get in the way and often this makes them stick to an approach no matter how unsuccessful it is for years without questioning it, all because their favorite guru told them it will work. A classic example of this is...well...everything: weight loss, Amway, making money, relationships etc.
It's time for all of us to grow up by only placing value in things that work for us personally, and not expect any tactic, secret or strategy to be our savior.
Let's save ourselves. That's a much better plan. P/s check this out: ebaysecrets.hereweb.com/ Ghani
