If you think you do not need branding consider this? The best advertising agencies won’t work with companies who aren’t branded. In many cases what they can do for you can’t be accomplished without at least partial branding in place. In most cases we are our own advertising agencies why should we accept anything less.

If you understand the quote you will understand that every brand is a story. This story gives more importance in the users mind to your product as well as yourself. It is a never ending story so there is always something to add.
The most important part of every story is what creates the emotional attachment. It is this emotional attachment which keeps customers coming back. Advertising firms understand this so without it, unless they are in it “only for the money” they won’t accept you as a customer. Although many advertising companies help you out of the starting gate; their real job is to keep increasing interest in something which already exists.
There are those who understand enough to brand themselves, however without understanding the disciplines involved chances are they will miss something important. A business may succeed without all in place they would however do better if they were.
There are some branding companies who believe “they are the end all, be all” of creating a brand. Those who use this approach in our book leave something to be desired. A brand is about the person or company being branded and they need to be a part of it.
A holistic approach is best because all the bases are covered. At some point all companies are going to use social media. When these are part of the brand image and identity they just work better. Customers are not confused as to where they are if the logo and visual branding are in place.
Brand design includes the visual aspects as well as identity and integrity. These are still not much more than the starting point. The emotional story has to be created and in a way it will be “never completely told.” This is what all great branding companies help create.
It simplifies advertising because there is now a logo and design to work with. The story is there so they have that to work with also. They can be doing their real job which is increasing interest.
