If you don’t have a list of people who are truly interested in you, you are missing out on income you could be making. People will visit your website and some may buy, but many people don’t make a decision the first time they see something. If you offer them something of value (usually free) and add them to your list you can now continue to reach them.
If you put your offer at the top of the page and your opt in page to the right just below the header your chances of having people opt in have just improved. If your website is long a second opt in box under the fold is also a good idea. Most people won’t go back to the top of the page to opt in, so make a box available below the fold also.
If you don’t have a website you can use a squeeze page. By offering something of value free you will get people opting in. Don’t over do it, people will continue looking for free offers from you if you do too many. You also want to be who you really are. It doesn’t matter who you are, people like differences, if you are honest people will follow you.
None of the above will do you any good if you don’t have an auto responder. An auto responder will usually send the double opt in form you need to keep legal. You can also pre program most to send all the emails you want up to a years worth. They can be changed if you want to change them also. If you want to reach everyone most auto responders also offer a service where you can send an email to your entire list.
People who over use the auto responder for sales will lose prospective customers off their list. Remember you must pass along information of value without constantly trying to make sales. You should also make it feel like they are getting to know you. Right now people are opening video emails at a much higher rate than regular emails so it’s something to look into. They don’t take long to make and people respond to video both by remembering what they saw but also with a reply.

You can do the above things for free if you know where to look and have the time to get it all set up. We know as we have done it.
The reason we are saying Stiforp is simpler is they have the auto responder already preloaded so a few minor changes to personalize is all that is required. It requires hours less time to get this put together and start your income coming in. We personally fought for days putting together the auto responder system we use. It requires knowing some html and just about every time you make changes you can’t see the finished results for 24 hours. We also had problems with the squeeze page. It took hours to get it set up and minor changes caused us to start almost completely over.
