To create a successful long term home based internet business you need your own product. This is the first thing you need to concentrate on. Way too many people have this backwards. An internet marketer needs Creative control. It is important for the owner to control price, and customer support. A properly set up membership website which you control is the best way to earn from a home based business online. These should always be in evergreen niches. Evergreen means “it worked 50 years ago, and will be working 50 years from now.” Your system must work consistently. It should be possible for the owner not be on a computer at all for a year and receiving income the entire time. This is what you must do to get the freedom internet marketers desire. No one stays in an internet business long term if they are working more hours than they did at a regular job.
With a membership website your income becomes sustainable. Once sales start they stay at about the same level or rise. The best approach to use is with a drip feed system that adds new content frequently. This should be written up in advance, which is possible if you have chosen an evergreen niche.
There are three things you need to concentrate on while setting everything up.
Time is your most valuable resource when you are the only one running your business. These are what keep it possible for one person to do everything alone.
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.
By setting up your drip feed up in advance, having your auto responder set up where it is basically hands off you have reduced the amount of work you will have to do for a year to nothing. This will give you more time to pursue other interests.
Reuse your content. In an evergreen niche this is possible. Over the years you will probably want to polish your information a little but for the most part it can be reused.
Recycle information to your list, send emails through your auto responder that bring your opt in’s back to your site. This is also the time to become an affiliate marketer. These products can be added to the website and information sent in auto responder emails. The ones who are making large incomes are finding this very effective.
By doing these things you will succeed online. Realize it takes time to get everything set up. Some of it can be outsourced, and in most cases you will get better results if you do. The start up cost for this method many people consider beyond their budget. Once it is up and running and you move into other niches the chance of return are the highest available on the internet today.
