Building relationships is important when branding because you will receive better results with someone who has spent time learning about you. It is not a fast process so someone you know, like and trust will make you feel comfortable while every part of the system is being put in place.
There are four major areas required to turn the amateur into a professional. Branding, marketing, design and technology. In every case we have seen those who succeed do so because they have a team in place who compliment each other with their skills. Each does what they know best and give the others enough information to survive if for any reason they can’t add their complete skills to the project. Without fail the team will put forward a product which could have never been achieved by one alone.
If relationships are used with businesses they often do better. There are many cases when two companies can benefit by working together. Each is branded separately and it is the separation of brands which help both gain reputation and sales.
If both have the same target audience yet the products are different this becomes feasible. These work best by learning what two or three products are often bought by the target audience. An example is someone who buys garden tools will more than likely need gloves and seeds. Choosing a company well branded in gloves and one the same with seeds will help the reputation of each.
There are also other ways relationships can be used to promote one or more brand. Brand recognition can be gained by advertising on sites which are keyword related yet have different products. This has been done with links and advertising for years with good results. In each case a friendship has made this possible.
If you haven’t build friendships this is not an option. It takes trust to make them work. This is not unlike business partnerships used by brick and mortar businesses.
Using a team to create a team approach is nothing new. Businesses have been doing it for years. Every medium to large sized corporation have teams which are actually necessary to keep them functioning
The question on peoples mind now should be “where can I create these relationships?” The internet is full of wonderful places to do just this. Two examples which are the most business related are LinkedIn and IBOtoobox. Using either or both can help with your branding and are good places to build relationships.

 | | Thanks Terri and Andre. It is true that you have to have good relationships with programs where you recruit people. For you to succeed as many as possible of those who recruit as possible have to succeed also. It is always better if they know, like and trust you. |
