Enhance your brand; branding for beginners

When you create your personal brand; branding you is what you are doing. It actually starts with your first post online. If you are a hometown store yours starts with your first advertisement. Reaching your audience is what you are attempting to do. “Branding is the hottest concept in marketing today, and it’s an idea that is not just for the deep-pocketed, highly glossed Coca-Colas and Nikes of the world. An increasing number of independent-business owners are embracing branding as the guiding philosophy for building their companies.” Nation’s Business How others perceive you Your brand image is how others perceive you or your company. How you advertise has a bearing on this. If you just start posting without thinking chances are you won’t do well. Personal brand or logo brand Even with personal branding you are going to want to show your identity in a way which let others know they are in the right place. Social media has become more important and you want people to know they are where you want them to be. Some social media is customizable while others are not. The ones which are should reflect your business and use the colors which excite the emotion you use to make sales. Are you going to use emails for your business? If you are using domain emails you should have the ones it is possible customized with a header or footer. Footers are simpler and work well. There is a learning curve to setting them up. Business cards Most businesses including internet businesses will find they need business cards. In most cases you are going to want to meet people offline. You should use any chance you get to talk to everyone you can. Having a business card to hand out makes a lot of sense. Having it match what you are showing online makes even more. Print media More and more people and companies are doing post card follow up as well as auto responder series. If you decide to use this method, which we are being told is more effective than continual auto responder follow ups; won’t you want this to match what a person is going to see online? Business fliers Proper placement of fliers is still being proven effective. Use them at hometown stores which have a bulletin board. It is no longer recommended to put them on cars anywhere. In most cases this is a waste of time and creates pollution. What those who brand believe Presenting a united front, using the same colors and fonts creates a professional look for their business. Each we have talked to believe it really does enhance their business.
