Why brand? Starting up any kind of online business requires work. For your work to have the most value branding correctly even if you are self-branding is important. Brand image is how others perceive your brand. What do you want others to feel? What does feeling have to do with selling a product or service? Everyone buys based on emotion. They don’t like to be sold, and most don’t realize it is a brand advocate doing the selling. Word of mouth is the best form of advertising in existence. This is what MLM companies and companies who offer affiliate programs understand. Brand colors Colors invoke emotion. If people are buying based on emotion, you want to match the color to the emotion you want them to feel. Each color invokes a different emotion and combinations are what it takes to create conversions. Font size and choices The font you choose should be easily readable. A visitor is coming to your website to read your content. If the font is too small your conversion rate will be lower. Most readers won’t magnify a website or blog to read it. Blogging With all the recent changes people wonder if blogging is worthwhile. As long as you follow Google’s rules for linking and backlinking they have been and are a viable option. They are easily shared on social media while waiting for them to be ranked. A blogs value is in creating an interactive media, comments section, where people can communicate without opting in. Effective blog use When using a blog the idea is to brand you. It is a place to show your readers the value of you personally. Each person and company is different and is going to create interest by being who they are. They are not about who you represent unless you have your own product. Blog readers are looking for information which has value to them. If you give it to them they will return. Give enough and they will opt in if you have an opt in form readily available. Press releases It is recommended that press releases be ready when your website goes live. Then new ones wrote when you add new products or services. If you remain static, offering nothing new, visitors will fall off. This will leave you wondering what you are doing wrong. Profitability For your venture to be Profitable you have to learn the ropes. The key is staying ahead of the competition and staying informed. This means keeping up to date on what is working where you are marketing. The corner store, nail salon, restaurant, who hasn’t changed with the times are wondering where their customers are going. Proper use of social media Social media has always been a way to communicate. This doesn’t change for businesses although many believe spamming links is the order of the day. It is a place to ask questions, receive feedback from customers, and offer condolences to those who suffer bad service elsewhere. As well as take care of customers who feel they received bad service from you. Who are you? This is another way social media is used. It is a place to let potential customers know what makes you different. No two companies or people are going to be exactly the same. Showing your difference is a great use of social media.
