Search engine optimization (SEO) for your brand

Lisech eMarketing logo

Search engine optimization is the most cost effective way for people to find you. A page one people can find is what feeds websites and content. One of the main things search bots want to see is quality content that is simple for the visitor to comprehend.

Constantly changing

Optimization has been changing since the day the internet became available. Every change has been to make the user experience more comfortable. When someone does a search they are looking for information on a specific subject.

Validation Social medias role in optimization

Social media plays a part with both websites and content. Comments and people sharing give more clout in the eyes of search engines. If a search engine sees people like what you create this is validation telling them others searching should find you.

Does your topic and content match?

Make sure your title and keywords match what people are going to find. The title of content has two functions. One is to compel a reader to click, the other is to feed information to search engines. Would someone searching for a washing machine be happy if they found themselves on a website which sold car parts?

For years keyword stuffing hasn't worked. Google and the other search engines are working to give people a great experience when they are surfing. When you write the search bots understand and look for words others use when writing about the same subject. Keywords in content rarely and in sentences which make sense to the reader, is the rule now.

Search engine placement requires keyword optimization

I am not going to go into much detail in this area. On the page most webmasters use very little content now. If you are a website builder make sure your keywords are on the page.

Since each page is an entity of its own it is recommended that each is to different keywords. They must of importance to the end user.

It doesn't stop there

A webmaster or the SEO company should be creating back-links as often as possible. It is recommended at least twice a week. Now it is important as well that not every link be a follow link. No follow links have more importance than people realize.

Is your website the answer to the query

What is in it for me

The reason someone visits your website from a search is their keyword search. Does your website contain the information the for which the visitor was searching? This is one of the main things search bots want to see. © December 5, 2017 7:51 PM CST Dennis Thorgesen, Lisechglobal business and brand consulting, Lisech eMarketing, all rights reserved.
