Are you being specific enough in your niche choice and branding style?

lisech eMarketing logo

Today the press release because of what I have, will be about how to choose your sub niche. It will also include personal branding tips for those who are using this style.

"Be original and ultra specific. Create (don't find) a niche, and make it within a niche, within a niche. Research and pre-select clients and have them come to you." Tom Riach

Primary focus

What one word can you use, that others within your niche rarely or never use will describe your product or service? Is it a searched word, by enough people to make it worth while using? For self branding especially, you want to be able to focus on a single word,

Where should my word be used?

If you have a website one page should be completely to the word you have chosen. It should be the only word used for Search engine optimization for that page and part of your meta description for the page. For any content you create it should be a tag or keyword.

If you can't be first, create a niche where you can be first.” Jeff Besos

What is your self brand?

Your face is the most important part of your self brand. The name comes second, A unique writing style and or video style should contain your face as well, everywhere it is possible. Do your best to use the same font as well. People searching should know you from any of these factors.

Where should they be used?

Every place you are online should contain your face. It should be the same picture everywhere. If you create videos use a picture that shows you as what someone is going to see on the video. For your name, use it exactly the same everywhere you are. Don't use a first name, last name, one place and your first name, middle initial, or middle name another.

Is consistency a key?

Have you ever read someone's content and had them be all over the place? One subject and keyword one time, a totally different one the next? What does this tell you about the company owner?

If you can't be number one in your niche find a solution that has more value than the others in your niche.” Dennis Thorgesen

When creating content what should you do?

If you are self branding and it is possible add your picture. This is a good clue to the reader when and if they follow you to other social media. Use your keywords consistently. Understand that search engines only look at the first 110 to 160 characters and keep your keywords under that limit. Remember people don't search single words so set your keyword clusters up as you and others would search them. If you don't know, ask.

A good example

Wanda Robinson personal branding

I have been watching Wanda Robinson with interest since returning to IBOtoolbox. Although she still has a little to learn she is the best self branding example I have seen.

Her content keeps people coming back. The video's she shares on her press releases make people laugh. She asks questions which keep people coming back to find the answer or to find out if their answer is right.

Create Interest

She creates interest in her the person with what she writes. Some of her time is spent leaving comments for other IBO members which also creates more interest in her. At this point she is working on her sub niche. This will simplify people on search engines finding her and inceasing her traffic even more.

No cost short consultations

In marketing products or services be they your own or for someone else you often run into situations where another mind can help you find a solution. Branding covers marketing, advertising, and search engine optimization. Search engine optimization covers discussing keyword choice for sub niches.

People have been asking so I have decided to do no cost consultations. These are generally short lived, so if you are not happy with the way things are going for you, get in touch. Please use the link through the word consultation. If the link doesn't work the offer has ended. © August 20, 2018 11:33 PM CDT Dennis Thorgesen, Lisechglobal business and brand consulting, Lisech eMarketing, all rights reserved.
