What is Motivation?

As the days wind down here on earth, many want their life and efforts to mean something, especially those that believe in rewards and being compensated for working hard.  What example do we have of working hard and seeing the results?  We don't have to look far for this example.  A little small creature call the ant.  The Bible speaks highly of this creature and puts it in the category of the 4 wisest creatures.  It is more wiser than a dog or cat, pets that many hold high.  Why?  It is because the ant works hard  and smart.  She is consistent in her efforts; she does not back down from challenges or is not afraid of changes.  Instead of criticizing or complaining, two very powerful negative energy robbers, she consistently, relentlessly, and with powerful wisdom, can move objects bigger than herself.  When the object is big, she go and get help.  She is not afraid to ask for help from her fellow workers.  When humans destroy that homes, they either rebuild immediately or relocate at night.  When other creatures are basting in the sun, they are hunting for food and liquids so that when drought and heat waves come they are far down in the cool part of the earth or when winter comes, they are in areas of the earth where the temperature is moderate.  They have a goal of supply food for the colony and feeding the queen ant.  They don't need any one to tell them about working, no motivation meetings, no morning rallies, no long discussion about what they know they need to do.  They do not have a leader or task master over them directing them but each day they, from sun up to sun down, meet their goals and also, are ready for the unexpected.

What is the lesson we take from this?  Diligence and utilizing the resources that we have and planning ahead of time, will have us ready for the storm of life and the changes that come our way.  The ants also give freely to one another; they are not selfish with their captures from hunting.  Everyone is supplied, even the ones that did not go out to hunt, because all of their roles are important.  And that is why you never hear of the ant needing food or liquids or the queen going hungry.
