                                          WHY I LOVE GRAVIOLA

Also known as soursop, used as traditional herb to cure several ailments in the Amazon region among the native populations, Graviola  is a wonder tree. Its scientific name sounds a bit poetic :"annona muricata".

Location: Graviola is a plant found in tropical forests in diverse regions throughout the globe: Central, South America, Caribbean and Africa.

Useful parts: the main used part of the tree are: leaves, bark, unripe fruit, mature fruit.

Supposed health benefits: Various forms of cancer,  diabetes, high blood-pressure, asthma, fever, dysentery,  insomnia, flu. It's also a good anti-parasitic.

Medical research: Various medical researches have been completed in many countries. In other countries researchers have just tried laboratory studies which  are considered  very promising. In some cases the results of former researches  need to be breveted. This process may take a certain time before  medecines are put on sale in local pharmacies, and used in hospitals.

Another concern will the price of the tablets, injections and other means of cure. Will it be affordable or expansive ?

The following video, apart from being an informative eye opener touches a bit  upon that concern. Don't miss it!

Below are a list of some  universities and institutes  that conducted studies about Graviola and its potential medical benefits.

                                 Purdue University,West Lafayette Indiana
                                 National  Cancer Institute
                                 Japan 2002
                                 Taiwan 2003
                                 South Korea Catholic University.
